for the solid bushings to transmit. I have solid subframe bushings in my NA subframe, and there is little to no gear whine. I did have significant gear whine, but that was attributed to a bad diff. Basically, solid subframe bushings are fine for cars that have a differential in good shape, that have stock gears. Once you increase the noise produced by the gears either by a worn diff, or with the Leader gears, then yes, the solids will tend to transmit more noise.
